Tesla Eats debituje pored Superchargera
Elon Musk otvorio je Tesla Eats, brzi restoran pored Supercharger lokacije u Santa Monici, Los Angeles. Dizajn lokala je zakrivljen i sterilan, a neki kažu da "resemble the waiting area for Disneyland’s Star Tours or Space Mountain more than a diner." Tesla Eats i Tesla Diner reklamiraju "Tesla Burger", "Electric Sauce" i "Epic Bacon" dok gosti dopunjavaju baterije svojih automobila.
Cijene i kritike
Cijene su visoke: osnovni burger $13.5, uz dodatke kao $4 "Wagyu beef chili" i čak $24.5 za neke kombinacije. Porcije kao što su pomfrit koštaju $4, "charged soda" ide od $7 do $10, a obična soda $4. Merch uključuje hoodije za $95 i "supercharged" gumene bombone za $35.
Otvaranje je pratilo dugo čekanje i haos u servisu. "Tesla Diner is [a] really cool spot but we waited for two hours to eat something in there," pisali su gosti. "Customer service is too bad. They were not organized at all. They don’t have answers for many questions and they have no idea what’s going on in there. French fries and burger dried so much." Noah Aron dodaje: "Shakes are excellent... hash browns were solid, burgers and sandwiches were pretty awful," i "The staff was flustered and it was quite chaotic in the kitchen."
